Methodology for Assessing the Risk of Social Isolation of Suspects and Accused during Criminal Proceedings
The purpose of the methodology is to assess the potential impact of criminal proceedings, and the restrictive measures applied by judicial and law enforcement authorities in the framework of these proceedings, on the social situation of suspects and accused. Such an assessment would enable the criminal justice authorities to make more informed decisions with regards to each individual defendant and to prevent, as much as possible, the risk of his/her social isolation as a consequence of the proceedings.
